Professional development and capacity building through five international workshops involving over 230 individuals, followed by nine months of support through webinars, Skype calls, and email, and the development of culturally-relevant tools and communications on the benefits of unstructured nature play.
Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and the Wilds: Professional development workshops for 25 staff covering identification of conservation outcomes, the 5E model of curriculum development, and action research methods.
John Ball Zoo: Evaluation training workshop for staff to build internal capacity for front-end, formative, and summative program evaluation.
Northwest Trek: Virtual training for naturalists and keeper staff to increase empathy messaging in tours and keeper chats.
Oregon Coast Aquarium: Interpretive planning guidance during reconstruction of four exhibit galleries, coordinating an advisory team of Terry O’Connor Consulting, LLC, Ramberg Works, and Emily Routman Consulting.
